How sweet it was... a short week, but full of learning. We had a fabulous start to our week with our Fall Fest. Thank you to Mr. Fiori, Mrs. Rubino & Mrs. Ziegler for volunteering and donating your time with us. We couldn't have done it without you. Our first encounter with our buddies was on Wednesday and they helped us create our spooky spider hats. Fun was had by all. Thank you all so much for meeting with us during Parent/ Teacher Conferences. It was nice getting an opportunity to share with you all that your child has been up to thus far and to share what is yet to come. :) Please remember our goal is to make learning fun and to ignite ones curiosity on their path of being lifelong learners. If for some reason your child's attitude about school changes, please reach out to us immediately. Our field trip to Coleman's looks like it won't be happening. They could only reschedule us for mid- November... I think we have done a fine job of covering the lifecycle of the pumpkin in class and that we will save the money for a winter field trip instead. :) Please remember if you celebrate Halloween to email me some pics from Tuesday and your child can share them with the class on their next school day. Enjoy these pics from this week. xoxo

Fire Safety was where it was at, in preschool this week. Job well done by all of our little Fire Chiefs. We should all be fire safety experts after our visit today from the Middletown Hose Company. Fire fighters Joe and Kelly were amazing and helped sum up all that we have learned all week. Your preschooler might have some questions for you, like what is their (your) address and not the clothes that you are wearing... LOL we had some confusion so we explained it is where your home is located (your street address) not your attire! ;)... They might ask you to check your smoke detectors, have a safety plan incase of a fire, and of course I am sure they would love to show you how and why they might need to stop, drop, cover and roll. :) Moving forward we have a short yet exciting week coming up. Monday is our Fall Fest from 11am-12pm. All friends are welcome, if it is not your child's scheduled school day. Your child may come for the fest, but must be accompanied by an adult and leave at 12pm. Due to our Fall Fest you will not need to pack a lunch, we will be making our own themed lunches. If you have signed up for an item on our google doc, please send in all items on Monday morning. We are still in need of 32.oz of shredded Mozzarella cheese. If you think you can donate the cheese please send an email to me. Tuesday is our Field trip to Coleman's Tree Farm. Please make sure your preschooler is dressed appropriately for pumpkin picking and has a brown bag lunch. If your child is riding the SAES van, please drop off their "seats" at the front Red Doors on Tuesday morning.Thursday and Friday April and I look forward to speaking with all of you during your scheduled Parent/ Teacher Conference. I think that is a wrap for now... Enjoy these pics from this week and have a super weekend! xoxox What a fun and perfect "P" week! Although we had a short week, we were passionate about our pumpkins and the letter "P"! Our pumpkin song, "Have You Ever Seen A Pumpkin" was a huge hit. We enjoyed learning about the letter "P" and had some wonderful tasting of some "P" objects. Our class pumpkin had seen better days, so we decided to open it up and discover what was inside.. "pulp" was had by all! Our pets were blessed, it doesn't get better than that! :) Our field trip to Coleman's was approved, so we are off to Coleman's Tree Farm on October 24th! Please send back the permission slip if you have not yet (It is coming home in backpacks today for some). We will be having our Fall fest on October 23rd from 11am -12pm All are welcome...more info will be coming shortly. Look for a google doc next week. I hope to see some of you tonight at our Fall Fest! Please don't forget to sign up for Parent /Teacher Conferences, if you have not. Have a peaceful weekend and I look forward to seeing all of my friends on Monday... It is our first full week in sometime. I know we've got this! ;) Enjoy these pics! Fall is in the air! Although it was a short week, we had loads of Autumn fun in the classroom. We completed some neat fall crafts that will be on display in our classroom real soon. :) We learned all about the letter "Ll" and became master singers of our "All The Leaves Are Falling Down" song. We completed our learning centers too! We reviewed our letters that we have learned so far, worked on fall patterns, completed an illustration for our song and worked on some fine motor strengthening skills. Thank you to Clara's Mom (Emily Kegerreis) for being our first Guest Reader! A good time was had by all! Next week we will jump right into pumpkins... since our class one is rotting. :( I have put in a request for our second field trip, to Coleman's Tree Farm (pumpkin picking)... Once the school approves it I will share more details. If you plan on ordering your child's school pic, the deadline is tomorrow. Just a friendly reminder we are off from school tomorrow (inservice day for teachers) and Monday (Columbus Day)! Enjoy your long weekend! Here are some pics to send you off on another beautiful day! :) |
